WINTER PARK, FL – The North Georgia women's soccer team put a lid on their 2011 preseason schedule on Saturday morning, taking on Rollins College and falling 3-0 in a trio of 30-minute periods.

The Lady Saints struggled to find a rhythm against Rollins and the Tars made them pay, scoring a goal in each 30-minute session coming away with the three-goal victory.

Ali Schrader scored the game's opening goal 19 minutes into the contest on a pass from Courtney Reddig, while Ashley Waplinger followed in the second session with an unassisted goal to the double the lead for Rollins. Emma Jones capped the scoring five minutes into the final period to give the Tars their final margin of victory.

North Georgia tallied three shots with Emily Dover having the best look just six minutes into the game. The senior had a sliding shot inside the box that slid just wide of the goal to keep the game scoreless early.

Peach Belt Preseason All-Conference selection Natalie Douglass also registered a shot, while Kelly Penston was the only North Georgia player to put a shot on frame, a strike that resulted in a save for Rollins goalkeeper Mary Spring.

Kirsten Ross played two of the three 30-minute sessions and tallied six saves, while allowing a pair of goals in her final tune-up before the regular season.

The Lady Saints will open the regular season on Friday, September 2, welcoming Lees-McRae to town for a 4:00 p.m. contest at the North Georgia Soccer Complex.
