AUGUSTA, GA – Following a week that saw the North Georgia women's soccer team jump into the national rankings, Megan Morrow has been named the Peach Belt Conference Defender of the Week.

Morrow led the North Georgia defense last week with a shutout of 15th-ranked UNC Pembroke. The freshman has assumed the all-important role of center back and proved to be the answer the Lady Saints needed as North Georgia has recorded back-to-back shutouts and is the only unbeaten team remaining in the Peach Belt Conference.

Morrow's defense has allowed a league-low two goals on the year, and limited the nationally ranked Braves to nine shots in over 100 minutes of action.

Following the double overtime thriller against UNC Pembroke, North Georgia traveled to Belmont Abbey and Morrow and her defense recorded another shutout to lead the Lady Saints into the national rankings as the No. 16 team in the country.

Morrow and the Lady Saints will put their unbeaten mark on the line Saturday afternoon, traveling to the University of Montevallo for a Peach Belt Conference match. North Georgia is 3-1-1 all-time against the Falcons and hold an 11-7 goal advantage in those five games.
