Lady Saints Win Third Straight, Run by Hurricanes

DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia women’s tennis teams continued to roll on Saturday afternoon, winning their third straight match with a 5-4 victory over the visiting Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern in Peach Belt Conference action.

The Lady Saints improve to 5-3 overall on the season, and move a game over the .500 mark at 3-2 in Peach Belt Conference action. The Hurricanes have now lost five of their last six, falling to 4-7 overall and 0-5 in league action.

North Georgia swept the doubles, holding a 3-0 lead heading to singles play where the Lady Saints grabbed wins at No. 2 and No. 4 singles to come away with the victory.

The Lady Saints return to action on Sunday afternoon, playing host to 8th-ranked Columbus State University in another Peach Belt Conference match. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. against the Lady Cougars at the NGCSU Tennis Complex.
