Lady Saints Fall to 7th-Ranked Columbus State in Peach Belt Play

DAHLONEGA, GA – The North Georgia women's tennis team fell to No. 7 Columbus State 8-1 in Peach Belt Conference on Thursday afternoon at the North Georgia Tennis Complex.
The Lady Saints (6-10, 1-4 PBC) have lost eight of their last nine, while the Cougars (18-0, 8-0 PBC) remained perfect on the season, recording their seventh straight win against North Georgia.
The Cougars got off to hot quick start sweeping doubles action, taking the matches 8-1, 8-2, and 8-1.
In singles action, the Lady Saints dropped five of the six matches in straight sets with Juliana Moscoco-Chiang picking up the lone win at No. 2 singles. Moscoco-Chang scored a come-from-behind 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 against the No. 49 ranked player in the country.
North Georgia returns to the courts on Saturday, March 31, when they host Lander in Peach Belt Conference action. First serve is set for 1:00 pm.
