DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of North Georgia women's tennis team's Peach Belt Conference match with the University of North Carolina Pembroke came down to the final two singles matches playing on the court Sunday afternoon. When it was all said and done, the Braves escaped Dahonega with a 6-3 win that came down to the final few points in a tiebreaker at No. 6 singles.
Williams then used that momentum to take the win in No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-1 over Mia Winterbottom who was the No. 20 singles player in the Southeast Region entering this season.
