University’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is set
to host a 3K run for The Make-A-Wish Foundation Saturday, Oct. 25
immediately following the Peach Belt Cross Country Championships.
This event adds to the festivities of Alumni Day.
The benefit run starts at 11:30 a.m. and is open to the public and
returning alumni. All participants pay a $10 entry fee payable at

or 478-445-1779. Runners will make checks payable to GCSU
Athletics.
Georgia College’s West Campus Cross Country course serves as
the host trail. All runners will receive a free t-shirt with all
proceeds going to Make-A-Wish.
The Fun Run is part of a larger Peach Belt Conference community
engagement initiative that aims to provide community involvement at
each PBC championship event. Along with the cross country
run, the conference will host a Breakfast With the Champions at the
men's and women's soccer tournaments on Nov. 8 and co-sponsor a
clinic with UNC Pembroke surrounding the volleyball tournament Nov.
15-16.
Founded in 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has reached more than
160,000 children with life threatening medical conditions and is
actively supported by the Peach Belt Conference SAAC.
